Baby In A Basket & What's Up With Google Blogger?

Aloha, friends!

You know what happy means? A new baby! Babies touch me right here, in the smack dab middle of my soul. I just love babies. They are so sweet, chubby, cuddly, and beg for little sweet kisses. That new baby smell is better than flowers, puppies and new cars put together. Ok, I get carried away.

Our friends have a new grandbaby, a baby boy to join his older brother. They live locally and on a coffee farm. Doesn't that sound like fun? Hard work, but fun. They have 3 generations living, working and loving together. It's a simple card, no interactive parts, but it was way easier to make. Some days easier is better 👶🏼 I would like to share this in Kathy's 30 Day (really 10 day) Coloring Challenge! You can read about it HERE.

And what IS up with Blogger? I see they will no longer allow anyone who signs up for email notifications to receive new posts from this platform. The "fix" seems too advanced for this old mare. I have a WordPress blog but oooh, the hassle of trying to export and import, bleh. Me no likey technical changes and challenges. Google Blogger is creating such a headache. Please share your ideas with me. Not sure what to do about this one.

Kindness Butterfly Shaker Card

Aloha!

This is a card using a beautiful butterfly die and stamp set from Gina K. Designs. The entire set is filled with gorgeous images and sweet sentiments. I put a link to the stamps below.

Shaker cards can be fun because we can gear them up for little children or for adults. It just depends on the images and shaker bits! I didn't use that many bits for this one though. And I will pick out the sentiment after I know who this will go to. But check out the whole stamp set because all of it is incredibly designed, clean, elegant and thoughtful.

Stamp Set: "Love and Kindness" by Gina K. Designs
Cardstock: GKD
VersaFine Onyx Black
Acetate: Grafix
Colored with Sharpies!
Circle and Pierced Circle "Must Have" die sets by Scrapbooking Made Simple (SMS) in Santa Clarita, CA
Shaker bits: Mixture of beads, confetti, stars and sequins (Mostly PPP and Studio Katia)

It's "SUPER KITTIE!"

Aloha!

Coffee + Kittie = Super Kittie!!! Don't ask me what I was thinking. I am reverting to my comic book days. But that's what I say when looking over my 4 Neat and Tangled stamp sets. Maybe it should go into the UGLY card album. I have a friend who is hysterical -- we see strange things and crack up. Maybe she'll like this one.

Anyway, I am going to embarrass myself and enter it into the Coffee Lover Papercrafting Challenge as well as Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Inside the card it says "Love Meeeoow" next to a ball of yarn. The envelope is stamped up, too. Yes, kittie is wearing a red cape. Super Kittie.

Stamp Sets: "Meow" and "Big Bold Brew" by Neat & Tangled; "Starry Background" by Hero Arts in gold ink on the font of card, inside, and on envelope flap (using Delicata Gold ink)
Cardstock GKD 120# White and layering Tomato Soup
Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Memento Markers
Wink of Stella Clear
SU White Perfect Accents (Used for eyes with some Nuvo Black cause I didn't have any googly eyes big enough)
Nuvo Crystal Drops in various colors (for all the stars)

Mahalo for stopping by!
May your coffee be as thick and yummy as melted chocolate!

Coloring Book Flower

Aloha ♥

Are you into using coloring books? I was trying to hold off as long as possible. But I saw one on Amazon called "Color Calm." The name intrigued me. It's about 8" x 5" and takes color markers well without bleed through. But I won't tempt it with water. This is not a card but an 8 x 5 picture with an easel on the back.

I still cannot find the first project I colored in it. That baffles me. My Bible showed up :D :D :D Bruce had laid something on it. Color me happy. Plus I am watching some gentle hula and listening to Hawai'ian music. Heavenly. If you enjoy gentle guitar and beautiful Hawai'ian singing with hula, check out this link and let your mind dream you are in the islands ♥

Color Calm coloring book
Kaisercraft gel pens (a lot of these colors are metallic. I wish you could see it IRL)
I used the Black metallic pen to add the dotted outline
Sponged background with Memento Inks; grass blades with Memento markers
Cardstock: GKD Ivory 120#; AC blue and green
Corner Rounder
Tear Drop Rhinestones

Mahalo nui loa for all your love ♥ With aloha

Gel Pen Flowers

Aloha there,

This is a day of several firsts. It's the first time I am using a coloring book, gel pens to color the whole page, and creating a short video for an Amazon review of the pens. Whew, what a day!

And it's November!!!!

The Coloring Book was marked down on Simon Says Stamp a while back, so I caved and bought it. In the center is a page of flowers. The blank pages on the left side have an affirmation or positive thought for the day. The pages are 7 X 4-1/4 inches each so you can easily cut pages to fit smaller cards. This one I left whole, and on a single layer, not a card.

This will be entered into Day #1 of Kathy Racoosin's "30 Day Coloring" challenge. You can enter on Instagram, her blog, or join her new 30-day Coloring Challenge Group on Facebook to upload your photos. They have many, many giveaways at the end of the month. The whole idea behind her monthly coloring challenges is to make us take a short, daily (if possible) break - 10, 15 maybe 20 minutes, to give our minds and souls a chance to clear and wind down. You do NOT have to make a card or even complete the coloring project each day (even though it might feel weird not to lol). I hope you will play along! Here is a link:

Coloring Book: "Color Calm" by Valentina Harper,, a floral/dotty page
"Top Quality Gel Pens, pack of 60" on Amazon (I got them for around $14 and now they are down to just over $10!) plain, and metallic colors
Perfect Pearls Black Onyx (little black dots on the silver areas)
Dazzle Glitter by SU, sprinkled over wet dots of 3D Crystal Lacquer (very sparkly)
Matted onto white, then black cardstock

Mahalo for visiting!!!!
Wishing you a beautiful week, filled with creativity ♥
