15 Minute Thank You Card

 Aloha!

We wanted to thank a neighbor for trapping 3 stray kitties for spay/neuter program. Someone had dropped off a female and, of course, it became pregnant in no time. She had 3 cats and they are now all "fixed," and cared for by our neighbor. It happened so fast, in our parking area, and I wanted to make a quick cat thank you card. Whew! It took less than 15 minutes but close enough. The inside is stamped and colored, too, but they were already here so I couldn't grab a picture of it. We am grateful to have a neighbor who has kindness and concern to control the cat population, as well as trying to socialize them. I hope it works out. Now to try and catch Mama cat before this happens again. She already knows what a trap is though.

Stamp: SU Pretty Kitty

I'm going to share with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Kathy encourages the coloring world to just jump right in. It is highly inspirational.

It's CAS, square & fast!
Thank you for taking a look!

Seascapes, One in Browns and Another in Blues

Aloha!

I made a couple more cards using the same stamp set as in the last post for a friend who wanted to give them to her uncles visiting from Tahiti this week! She asked me to add an outrigger canoe for 3 on each card, and to keep them similar in design but one in brown and the other in blues. Simple pencil sketches gave me an idea of how to add the canoes and the Memento Black Tuxedo marker created the silhouettes. I will enter this in The 30 Day Coloring Challenge by Kathy Racoosin.

Stamp Set: Framescape Tropical Skies by Theresa Momber for Gina K. Designs
Inks: The black is by GKD Black Onyx; and I also used Distress Inks in several browns, yellow and the blues; VersaFine Smoke Gray on the envelopes and inside the cards
Cardstock by GKD 80# Ivory
Viva Decor Gold and Perfect Pearls White Opal for the splatters

A Moon Baby

Aloha and surprise - I'm still here and trying to make cards!

Our nephew and his wife in Tennessee just had their second baby, a little girl. They were blessed with a little boy first. I like to tease people whenever and wherever possible, so I encourage them "the fun" doesn't really begin until after 5 or 6 kids, so keep on going!!!! And be sure to breast feed all of them, and use cloth diapers lol!!! Don't cheat and use disposables because of the landfills and such. Hah! They are bordering on loathing from hearing me anymore :D

I stamped the starry background onto the card base. Stamped Image with StazOn Black ink. Using watercolors, I swirled colors for a sky behind the focal image.Watercolor Moon and baby (I CASEd Lydia Fiedler on this part). Cut the dried panel with dies and then adhere to card. Cover the hanging star with Glossy Accents and cover the entire crescent moon with Wink of Stella clear. SHINY!!!

I will try to enter this into Kathy Racoosin's 30 day coloring challenge ♥

A Purr-fect Day!

Aloha!

Today is Day 4 of the The Daily Marker 30-Day Challenge. I'm still hanging in there :D

Isn't this a sweet image? I love Penny Black's little critter images and have not yet inked this set up yet. So, it's about time!

The image is colored with color pencils and blended with Gamsol. But you know me - it was just too plain so I kept on going. I edged layer with blue, then sponged blue and pink around the sky and made some violet. Then I got bored with the usual rectangles and drew two lines and cut the corner out of the top left. I added the glass dew drops and used foam under the sentiment, Glossy Accents on the butterfly and flower. I added a gold heart charm to her collar and some ground.

Entered into:

Stamp Set: "A Purr-fect Day" by Penny Black
Cardstock: GKD White 120# and 80#
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky, Angel Pink
Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol
Dew Drops, Pigma Micron Marker & Ruler, Glossy Accents, SU Round Punch, Signo Gold Gel Pen

Thank you dear ones for stopping by!
With aloha ♥
