This is a favorite time of year for many people. I love it. It was our mother's favorite time of year, too. I am playing the song while typing this. You can hear it to by right clicking on the link, and choose 'open in another tab.' Enjoy!
Carefully measure the focal image into thirds from both directions (I like to use millimeters for this part because it is easier). Cut the image into 9 pieces and carefully adhere to your cardstock layer. I used liquid MonoAdhesive for this project as it gives you more time to rearrange pieces before drying.
If using the Perfect Medium or VersaMark, no setting spray is required. I covered my ivory cardstock with Embossing buddy to get it nice and non-static-y :) then stamped the sentiment onto ivory using VersaMark, sprinkled gold embossing powder onto it, then heat set. I cut it with a SB Fancy Tags #2. Added gold pearls to sentiment and popped onto the card.

ReplyDeleteWow! This is truly gorgeous! It has such great texture AND shine! And I love how you've cut the front into 9 pieces! Loooooove Perfect Pearls--and it's so great with leaves and fall colours! Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteOh Rosy, this is beautiful! Love the dimension and depth of color you have using Perfect Pearls. Absolutely beautiful fall colors and I love your embossing folder. Pretty, pretty, pretty! If you are so inclined, I would love for you to come visit my blog. Just got it up and running, not easy for me since I'm not that savvy when it comes to computers. The name of my blog is...get ready because it's a long one...Happy as a clam in white wine butter sauce. I'd love your input. I love Autumn and all the pretty leaves that fall. And, it appears that your leaves and the brown all sparkle with the Perfect Pearls. Did you put the pearls on the brown poriton too? At any rate, your work of art is magnificient. And, Nat King Cole! I have loved him ever since I was a young, young lady. His music along with Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, and others of that era always make me swoon. That was romance in music form. So thanks for sharing that too. Sorry I don't have a blog to share with you but I have not taken the plunge. I am afraid I would be totally lost in doing that. And there are so many kinds to have, I don't know which is the best type either. Maybe some day. Only have my Flickr and galleries here and there at various places on the internet.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Rosy! Wow! Is it just my eyes or did you dry emboss with a leave patterned folder as well? The leaves appear to have dimension. Love the colours and design. Well done girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteStunning card. Thanks for the very detailed instructions. I have never used Perfect Pearls, but this inspires me to try. The colors and embossing are awesome!
