Forgotten Voyages

This is a beautiful Art Impressions stamp that I fell in love with. I am drawn to the isolation of the place this boat came to rest, the loneliness - lack of people, birds, even foliage. I imagine the wind blowing and the faint crashes of waves farther out, perhaps a sea gull crying in the distance - hear it? I kept the card monotones of grays which reminds me of living in the Pacific Northwest -- where I think I saw every shade of gray in the sky there could possibly be.

It doesn't appear that this vessel is going anywhere soon, so it doesn't really need the anchor charm I tied to the center of the black twine. But it needed a sparkle without being over the top.

Thank you so much for coming in, and taking a look! I appreciate you each of you!

  1. Hi Again, Rosy, Trying to get back to you via Outlawz. The link I refound there, took me to a 'no blog found' site, which I read others are having this problem. I knew that I'd been on your site earlier (but maybe you have more than one blog?), but I searched my today's history and got back to Rosy! This isn't the card I saw earlier, BUT I love this one too. Your description of what the monotones & the boat motif made you think of, was so apt. I really enjoyed it. Good luck with getting your buttons back. I will definitely join as a follower, but if you can, please leave a comment for me at MY blog (if you click on my name, hopefully it will take you to the blog), and let me know the button problem is fixed. Love your work. TFS

  2. Back again. Just signed up for your email, and thanks for joining as a follower. Will do the same here, once you get the 'button back'. Tee hee hee. Does sound funny, but is an aggravating problem when blogger misbehaves! Hope you get it back properly real soon.
