A few months ago, a friend I've known since junior high school and her husband lost their daughter, Niki, suddenly. One day she was feeling ill, the next day she died. Tragedies can happen out of the blue, suddenly, and leave a trail of intense pain. Niki leaves behind a little baby boy and her husband, as well as her parents and more family, friends, coworkers.
Her mom expresses her grief on FB. It is unthinkable when a loved one dies, but losing a child is a pain that is like no other pain.
Niki absolutely loved the Seattle Seahawks (the colors on the card) and Pumpkin Spice Lattes (PSL). When I saw the coffee cup die from MFT, I knew a special card for Niki was going to pour out of me. I hope it makes her parents smile through their tears, and that with time and faith, their intense pain will begin to heal.
