Nighttime at the Waterfall

I am in dire need of more beachy type, Hawai'ian themed cards. I am also in need of more ideas of scenery so headed over to Pinterest and found something that peaked my mojo which needed tweaking to make the scene into one that might work.

I used one of Theresa Momber's images of the falls and two palms, then added some grasses, and a few more palm trees by Flourishes. In comes Signo white gel pen - add stars, palm tree & water highlights, and mist. If you squint you might see teeny blue and silver flat back stones in the sky and in the water, a few black ones in the trees.

The chevrons on the layer behind it is pressed from the SU embossing folder. Rounded two corners. Added white shimmer paint to the moonlight highlights through the jungle of trees down onto the water. Instant Hawai'ian falls :)

Stamp sets: Tropical Nature by Theresa Momber for Gina K. Designs; Beach Life by Flourishes

All Purpose Ink for Fantastixs #72 Frost White
Wink of Stella around the darker pools of water
Black beads to rounded corners

  3. This is incredible Rosy! I have only just started attempting true 'night' scenes, and I find this very inspiring! Like Verna and Donna said, this is so realistic, it could be a scene just outside your window. And the gel pen gave the perfect highlights. Love the sequins too.
