Friends Helping Friends

Coloring fur for texture.

Isn't this a very sweet digi image? It's from slickjestamps. She's so talented!
I really love how the doggie is lifting up the mouse so he can pick some strawberries <3 p="p">It's basically a CAS card - few layers, colored image, little bling, but no ribbons or 3D areas.

To make the fur look like it has texture, just 'dot' your colors, blending shades but leaving areas white and this gives the area depth.

A Chic Anniversary

Welcome! Painting with Perfect Pearls ~

I've been wanting to do something shabby for a while :) so made this Anniversary Card. All I did was cut the different layers out, sponged edges with Memento Pixi Dust (pink) and Toffee Crunch (tan/brown). I used a few drops of water and mixed with Perfect Pearls, then brushed along the edges of some of the die cuts, card base, and sentiment - it gives it a touch of shimmer and old shabbiness.

Products Used~
Nestabilities Majestic Elements Resplendent Rectangles Dies
Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury cardstock in Pure Ivory and Kraft
Echo Park: Victoria Garden pattern paper
Hero Arts "Every Day Sayings" clear sentiment
Memento Inks: Pixi Dust and Toffee Crunch

To the Family & Friends of Whitney Heichel

This card is made with much pain of heart for dear friends in Oregon whose wife, daughter, sister and friend was suddenly taken by someone who barely knew her. It is a tragedy that I pray her family and friends can find strength and healing from our Father in the heavens and the passage of time.

Triple / Quadruple stamping - layers
Take 3 pieces of cardstock measuring 1/4 inch smaller than one another. Stack them with the largest on the bottom, smallest on top. Carefully stamp all over without moving the layers. When done, cut contrasting cardstock 1/8 inch larger than each piece of the stamped cardstock. Assemble like you see in photo, embellish as desired.

Dedicated to Whitney Heichel
Her husband, Clint, their families, their friends and coworkers
Thank you to the law enforcement agencies involved who worked so hard to find the suspect, as well as for bringing Whitney home to her loved ones, all in four days.

October "Giving Thanks" Blog Hop

WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER “GIVING THANKS” BLOG HOP!

Hi everyone!  Thanks for playing along in our October blog hop!

EXCITING NEWS!  The Blog Hop with Sean & Regina will now be featuring Gina K. Designs stamps only for our monthly blog hops starting this month!

This month we want to celebrate November by “Giving Thanks” to all of our followers.  To some “giving thanks” is the traditional Thanksgiving holiday, but to others to “give thanks” is to show appreciation to all those great family and friends in our lives.  So, our hop this month is to show you how different we all give thanks.

The blog hop designers have been busy creating a card or cards that we hope will inspire you to create your fall themed “thanks” cards whether it be Thanksgiving, Give Thanks, Happy Harvest or a simple Thank You.

OUR BLOG HOP SPONSOR!

Becky Oehlers is a member of the Gina K. Designs Illustrator Team! Becky’s style is really fun, crisp and clean.  They are used to make wonderful cards with just the right message or can be used to add some fun to your scrapbooking pages.  In addition, Becky is one of the best card designers and artists in the craft world.  Go to Becky’s blog to look at the great things she has been up to AND view the card samples she has created with her newest stamp set “Mistletoe Memories” that was released yesterday during the Stamp TV October Release Party.  Becky’s blog address is:

Breast Cancer Awareness

I really hate all diseases and disorders and place my hope in Bible promises such as Isaiah 33:24 - "...and no resident shall say, 'I am sick...'" How truly wonderful that day will be. Until then, this card is going to the local oncology dept to encourage those sitting for chemo treatments.

One of my favorite techniques is to use Sakura glitter pen over images to add a bit of sparkle, esp when the light hits the card just right. I also love the CAS method for quick and easy cards.

It is entered into the following challenges:

  • Through the Craftroom Door #39
  • StampTV MIUM Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink, CAS, Love and Hope
